The area immediately east of the University of Michigan’s Continuing Legal Education Building  has great appeal due to the neighborhood having two nice sized parks, Allimendiger park, and Wurster Park.The former lies southeast and the later is northeast. Allimendiger Park is  is an 8-acre park located on Pauline between Hutchins and Edgewood. The park contains softball fields, a restroom facility and water fountain, a play area nestled in an Oak and Hickory grove, picnic tables, a tennis court, grass volleyball court, and basketball court. Wurster Park  is over 5.5 acres in size on Edgewood place between Madison and Third. It features an accessible asphalt path connecting activities, with new play equipment, open field play, a sledding hill, horseshoes, a picnic grill and tables, benches and a champion size oak tree on the natural registry of historic trees.
